April Online Results

Massive Fail!!

The first 3 days of April were really good profiting about $4k in 3 days then I set off to play my live events. So after live proing for 2 weeks I got back to the online grind and hit a pretty frustrating down swing, the only decent score I had was winning a Bulgaria main event Seat for 1.1k euro's.
I realised that I probably wasn't playing my best due to bad game selection and schedule playing some bad value mtts as well as not enough 180s which help reduce variance massively.

Shark Scope Results for April:

Total Games: 842
Total Profit: -$366
Total Hours: 60
Avg Hourly: -$6.10
Total VPPs: 6,800
Total FPPs: 23,800

April was one of my worst ever months I think my first loosing month with this much volume (not including FPPs)!! Lets hope for a better May I have two Live trips planned in May the first being UKIPT Dublin and then Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria the first week of June.

April Live Trip Part 2

UKIPT Nottingham

Next Stop was UKIPT Nottinham, we went straight from Belgium to Nottingham we were staying in the Poker stars Hotel in the City Centre which was a decent hotel (ty stars). I had a decent live schedule that I wanted to play here;

Nottingham planned Schedule:

12th Main Event day 1b £770
14th NL Holdem £330
15th NL Turbo deepstack £168
16th NL 6 Max £112

So it came to day 1b I got sat down on my table at Dusk till Dawn poker club which was incredibly busy as they smashed the £1 million gtd they ended up getting 1,625 runners!! making the first prize to be £210,400 WD stars and Duck till Dawn... As for my table draw I thought it was pretty decent didn't last long enough to be able to make solid reads but there was one obvious good Scottish lad who I later met called Robbie Bull (adreny) on my table and maybe 1/2 who were pretty solid but nitty.... I lost several big pots where in one case  I made a very well disguised trips on the river and I led the river and some random Eastern European guy 4x my river bet, there were a couple of missed flush and straight draws (even though the board was paired) I tank called and he had the nuts (obv) tens full... A couple of orbits after that I open QQ with aprox 30 bbs and get 3 bet from the btn so I 4 bet called off and lost to AK.. gg my main event in the second level.

The next day I regged the £330 side which was really good value, my starting table was not great though as I had one of my mates on my direct left Ashton Clayton (wd on your main cash bro) there was also Kev Asquith  (Asquith31) and later on Robbie Bull appeared on my direct right... I managed to get a stack going staying above avg most of the tournament and made day 2 with around avg. Joel Beverley Ashton Clayton and Callum Stewart also made day 2 where we also had a bet to see who could get the biggest stack going into day 2 which Calum won. However we were all to be short lived with me lasting the longest finishing 2/3 off the money running AKs into a set of fives where I think I priced myself into calling off on a Q high flop.
After Tilting from bubbling the £330 we went for a Nando's and all regged the £168 turbo deepstack This field was total lolaments had a very soft starting table crushing like I do in turbo s. In this mtt there was £6,700 up top and 17 paid, me and Callum both made the money but by this point the avg stack was something like 6/7 bbs and we finished 12th and 13th respectively for £450, would of been nice to make back to back turbo FT's at UKIPT side events with this cash im currently 22nd on the UKIPT leader board.

Next event was the £112 6 Max The field for this event was pretty small as It was a Monday and most people had left Nottingham, It was alongside the FT of the Main Event where one of my mates was sitting in good position so I was also railing Nick Woodward and hoping he was going to take down the Main...
So my table for the 6 max was pretty tough imo as I had Tom Hall (jabracade) on my right and another Canadian reg on my left... this was short lived as I picked up AK and 4 bet called and lost to QQ Second level again... Also in this event was Joel Beverley (jbeverley) who was looking like he was going to have his first live cash all to end in disaster as his top pair could not hold against a flush draw he was to bust 2 off the money gg Joel...
Meanwhile Nick had just busted in 6th place loosing a huge flip with JJ<AQo  for £45,500 well done Nick on that huge score!! The pokerstars were upset when he busted as he had about 80% of the rail rooting for him....

April Review

April Live Trip Part 1

Spring Holdem Challenge in Belgium

Ok so I had a busy April for live events, First stop was The Spring Holdem Challenge in Belgium where I was playing the Main Event and some sides. I set off on the 6th April this trip I went on my own and was meeting Tim Davie (timmmy182) at the Aiport in Belgium. All was going well till I landed in the Airport and rang time and we both said we were waiting outside the arrivals gate...... With no sign of tim we realised that we were both at different airports :) Woooopss. So after a few hours travel etc we eventually met up in Brusscles where we had a short walk around and ended  up in the pub. A few pics of Brussels;

After a look around we headed off to Namur where we were staying in the Casino Hotel, we arrived that night and played some 1/2 cash games this is when we realised how soft it was going to be in Belgium everyone was just so passive and easily exploitable me and Tim were sat at the same table and pretty much cleared up.... I was up around 3 buy ins after maybe 3 hours play.
The next day we were playing the 1k Main event, This had a pretty good structure with a 25k starting stack and 45 minute clock (for the first day) I managed to double my stack in the first hour and halr and the moved table. The second half of the day was pretty slow not much happened till the last hour of the day, I lost JJ<a9 for a pretty big pot and had to grind the short stack for the last half hour. We both made day 2 I was set to start with around 13 bbs and Tim was above avg stack.
Day 2: First hand I picked up AKo and  3 bet shoved a mid position open I got re shipped on from the BB who had 1010 that was GG for me.So the rest of the day I spent playing Cash and I regged the 330 side event which again was super soft, Couldnt get much going and busted 99<AQo for around 50bb pot 4 hours in...
Later on into day 2 Tim was still nursing a decent stack so I railed him, After being at his table for only a few minutes I saw him make a sick call much to the disgust of the villian and his rail birds.... Tim was sat on the BB and the btn/cut off opened (std 2.2 ish raise) Tim flats, flop K74ss checks round turn 10s Tim leads villian calls river Q Tim checks and villians fires 3/4 pot tim tank calls and tables A9o villian mucks with a disgusting look... Tim was pretty much owning the table after that. He managed to Make the FT coming in 3/9 playing for 48k, he lost a pretty big flip early on for like half the chips in play JJ<AQ and a few players busted he got to 4 handed and had Q9 on a 1078 J J board he reluctantly called a all in shove on the river where the guy tabled J8 and Tim finishes 4th for 15k wp Tim not bad for his first ever live cash.
